Abies amabilis ‘Buzz’ was the second Pacific silver fir broom discovered by the Davisons on the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 landing on the moon! It was discovered about 15 to 20 minutes after the first Abies amabilis broom ‘To the Moon’. We thought it was appropriate to name the specimen after the second man to walk on the moon, Buzz Aldrin, who set foot on the moon about 19 minutes later.
